Does putting more config files into config_dir require restart?

Hi,

If I place more configuration files in the config_dir while filebeat is running, does it require a restart to pick up the new config?

If so, is there any plan to change this? As far as I remember, the logstash agent (don't know about forwarder) dynamically picked up any added configurations in its config dir and that was a nice feature.

Yes.

No, Logstash doesn't dynamically reload its configuration files. Perhaps you're conflating it with the fact that it does pick up newly added files monitored by the file input plugin (just like Filebeat).
