I'm trying to plot a variety of metrics I just recently started capturing. These visualizations are using TSVB (and then within it, I'm selecting "Time Series"). Currently, my metrics are displayed using a SUM aggregation. However, I only have data points every fifteen seconds. All the empty spots between those data points is somehow also being rendered as zeros. How do I get a line chart like effect using TSVB, where it is dropping empty buckets in between my data points instead of trying to plot those as zeros?
What I ended up doing was changing the bucket size scale from auto to 15 seconds. I'm polling my metrics every fifteen seconds so it feels like a good matchup. It made the chart do what I wanted. Those empty buckets don't show up anymore.
