Have you plans about adding OpenSearch support to Elastic Common Schema?
Cause of OpenSearch has different field types than Elasticsearch we can't easily use ECS. I want to be able to keep the schemas up to date according to your official repository.
So, what is the right way?
create templates with your scripts and change field types on our side
OpenSearch/OpenDistro are AWS run products and differ from the original Elasticsearch and Kibana products that Elastic builds and maintains. You may need to contact them directly for further assistance.

I doubt Elastic will ever add OpenSearch support as it is a competing product they are not involved in. I would recommend you address this at the OpenSearch community.
Another option is to switch to Elasticsearch and benefit from all the features we have added in the last years, and prepare yourself to the next level of efficient searches with the coming ES|QL
