Elastic License activation without internet (on prem)

I am using a self-managed Elastic Stack in a private network without internet access, and I want to know if it's possible to activate the Elastic License without an internet connection.

In the License Management section of Kibana, I found that I can upload a JSON key file. Does this process require an internet connection?

Uploading a license does not require internet access.

It is possible to run a licensed, self-managed stack in an air-gapped environment.
Some parts require special handling, e.g. Kibana Maps and Fleet Packages will require the installation of additional local components.
