We at Torusware have a fast socket library (Speedus http://torusware.com)
which is able to accelerate communications up to 20X. Thanks to Speedus we
have seen 3X ES throughput increases with ab:

We are looking for a use case where ES performance is limited by netty
performance. Potentially a suitable candidate has had to scale up with a
large server to put clients and ES in the same server, or it has been
tuning the communication stack.
We offer our full support to improve performance and reduce the
cloud/servers bill at the same time, just in exchange of posting about the
experience.
