Elasticsearch 0.90.9, exclude or downgrade asm

Hi folks,
we will use the new version 0.90.9(as client), but we will run into
problems with asm 4.1.
Is it a problem to exclude asm for our usage (as i said,
https://github.com/elasticsearch/elasticsearch/blob/master/src/main/java/org/elasticsearch/client/Client.java)
?
Or maybe downgrade to 3.3? I expect no issues here, but i want play it safe.
Cheers,
Vadim

Hi,
we would be also interested to limit jar usage by an Elasticsearch client
node.
Does the elasticsearch client need asm? or lucene spatial or any other?
Would it be possible to provide a jar / maven artifact that is client only?
