Elasticsearch 6.5.1 does not start on ubuntu 16.04

Hello,

I have a newly installed elasticsearch 6.5.1 on an ubuntu 16.04 system. One of the nodes does not want to start. However if I start the process manually by running /usr/share/elasticsearch/bin/elasticsearch it does start properly. In logs I cannot see any errors. It is like the init scripts does not trigger the startup of the service. Any idea how to fix this?
