Elasticsearch is not running because search template

i found this issue https://github.com/elastic/elasticsearch/pull/24251

they tell me i must to upgrade 5.3.1 to 5.3.2 to store my search templates, but i don't need them in my test cluster . can i delete them manually from index? without running elastic?)) i'm very lazy....
