Elasticsearch Netflow Top-N dashboard showing data in bytes instead of MB.GB etc

Hi
i have upgraded "or so to speak" from filebeat netflow module to elastic netflow fleet based. And while i see its dashboards are somewhat good compared to the filebeat ones. but one dashboard that i used a lot in filebeat for netflow was the Top-N.

Current fleet based dashboard shows the data in bits or bytes. This is horrible to for even 20 years old network as data usage has increased manyfold. while it shows data properly in MB for other dashboards but this critical dashboard is showing in bits.

worst i cannot modify exisitng dashboard so i have to make a copy of that dashboard and use it seperately.

It is urged for the developers to correct its foramting as i have made a copy and i adjusted the formatting there.
and the worst thing is that after i update elastic the custom dashboard is not working.

Best Regards

Hello @ahsan0331

It will be great to share the version & the dashboard details so that elastic team can review this point.

Also you will have to open an issue on Github :

https://github.com/elastic/integrations/issues/new/choose

https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/new/choose

Thanks!!

Hi Tortoise, Thanks for the input . however i am not a developer or elastic expert.
I am just an end user. I have noticed this in the latest elastic 9.5.4 . with netflow fleet agent. In the past i was using filebeat netflow and it properly formated the data units.
I don't have any idea of how to open an issue on github.

I will be very glad if someone could point this to elastic so that it is adjusted. as seeing uintes in bytes for Top Talkers is not feasible for nowadays internet. it was workable if we were in late 90's.

thanks i managed to raise a ticket somehow.
[Netflo]: Data volume unites for netflow Top-N Dashboard are shown in bytes it should be in MB,GB #21920

i noticed i recieved an email alert as well.
