I am using an index file which looks like '9L9_imsWTYO3-1p9y0MtKg' from some one else's elastic index and trying to put the file in 'elasticsearch\data\nodes\0\indices'. But my elasticsearch cannot read that particular index I am trying to add to that path. But elasticsearch can read all other indices which I have created in my system. What could be the problem ? Can someone please guide me what can I do next ?
That is not a supported way to copy data into a cluster and will not work. You should never add, delete or modify data at the file system level. Use the snapshot/restore functionality instead.
