Recently upgraded Elasticsearch ,logstash and kibana to 5.6.1with x-pack and since then indexes are failing to be built . Filebeat is running on windows server sending logs to logstash any pointer to look for specific errors related to indexes not being built/updated?
Please check and provide logs from the various parts.
Any specific log are we looking here logstash or elasticsearch ? What might be causing the issue is the X-pack without X-pack the indexes are being built.
The issue was with logstash.conf missing the username and password string, added it and restarted logstash and that resolved the issue indexes are now being built
