ELK on Virtual machine

Can the ELK Stack(3 nodes - Elastic Search, Logstash and Kibana) be installed on the Virtual machines(Vmware or Hyper-V), Please advise.
Also, what is the procedure to install and configure ELK Stack(3nodes - Elastic Search, Logstash and Kibana)

Yes. All the ELK stuff I work with runs on Linux servers which are VMware virtual machines.
