Is there any issue with, for example, enabling an nginx module on a machine with no nginx? Will the other modules/prospectors continue to work?

A module does configure a prospector to look for files in some location. Having configured a module/prospector no files can be found for, will not process any files. The module will try to scan for new files every now and so on, but besides this should not generate any work.
Great. It sounds like a decent work around for me. I can enable the 3 modules I want for my entire network in the image and they with automatically start functioning when/if the service is installed.
