Escape character for SQL module

I am using SQL module and user password has "#". I gave "" prior to hash but the same is not working. Can you pl help

error :oracle://GTXXX:July": invalid port ":July" after host

Could you try using either \# or %23 in place of the #?

I tried \ but gave same error will try with %23
