ETL Tool?

Hello!

I'm newbie in Beat.

Is Beat a ETL tool to integrate different data source from different database and then merge all data into one common and single database?

What context is Beat beats being used in business? Any concrete example?

Thank you!

The Beats library is a building block for making programs that send pieces of data (like log events) to e.g. Logstash, Elasticsearch, or Kafka. I'm sure you can use it as one part of an ETL tool but that's not its intended purpose.

Thank you for your help!

Do you have any concrete example that Beat is being used in business context?

Thank you!

@jt3000 Best check out the product pages for each beat. There you can find many more details on how they can be used: https://www.elastic.co/products/beats

The content of the page is not enough in order to answer my question.

Also check out the blogs and video section, there are some use cases and also users reporting on how they use beats: https://www.elastic.co/blog Here is one that tells you how filebeat is used to monitor kafka: https://www.elastic.co/blog/monitoring-kafka-with-elastic-stack-1-filebeat
