Failed to parse field [event_data_param2] of type [date] in document

Hi I am getting this error

[DEBUG][o.e.a.b.TransportShardBulkAction] [node-1] [index-2020.02.04][4] failed to execute bulk item (index) index {[index-2020.02.04][doc][QNd0D3ABiS2QGKK1NMuw], source[n/a, actual length: [17.2kb], max length: 2kb]} org.elasticsearch.index.mapper.MapperParsingException: failed to parse field [event_data_param2] of type [date] in document

I can read and understand the error but not sure how to resolve it and get my data flowing back in to ES.

The data is coming from a Graylog GELF output.
