Filter dashboard visualisations based on visible map area?

In Kibana 7.11 is it possible to make visualisations on a dashboard filter based on the current visible area of a map that's present on the dashboard?

I know that I can draw bounding boxes etc on the map in order to apply filters to the dashboard, but this is relatively clunky.
