We were looking into data aggregation platforms and analytics, and wanted to design Elastic Cluster. I wanted to get your views on "future" of logstash in the Elastic Stack. With the advent of Beats and more powerful Elastic engine, will there be a future where the Plugins and modules present in Logstash can be directly put into ElasticSearch layer?
In our demo applications, we were able to directly send data from Beats to ElasticSearch tier and all fields extracted properly. (may be this won't be suitable for large installations)
If anyone have a comparison document to say, what can/cannot be achieved with logstash it would be great. thanks in advance.
