i want to know can we store elasticsearch indexes in hdfs ,and
elasticsearch can use these indexes to cater searches . as in solr we have
have hdfs directory factory ,do we have similar in elastic search .

Hi,
We don't support storing indices on HDFS. However, we have a plugin that
integrates Elasticsearch with Hadoop and allows to get data back and forth
between Hadoop and Elasticsearch easily:
Elasticsearch Platform — Find real-time answers at scale | Elastic
For the record, indices stored in HDFS would be significantly slower than
indices stored locally.
