HDFS as storage for ElasticSearch

Hi,

Is it possible to use HDFS as storage for Elastisearch index?

I checked that HDFS can be used for backup or snapshot but I would configure ElasticSearch nodes to use directly HDFS for storing index and indexed data without using local storage
