Help in index life cycle management

Is there anyway through which I can directly add ILM to my indices during creation???

Hi Vikash,

Yes, check out index templates. You can apply any index settings when an index matching the index patterns is created.

I guess it says using mapping function I can do...But am i suppose to add it inside grok i.e. my .conf file?

Are you using Logstash? What .conf file are you talking about?
