HItbyWord result

Hi

I have a technical question on basic enterprise search capabilities.

Does the search result on keyword search will return full word hit on proximity search or the literal search term?

e.g.

if we index this text:

"Google LLC is an American multinational technology company that specializes in Internet-related services and products, which include online advertising technologies, search engine, cloud computing, software, and hardware. It is considered one of the Big Four technology companies, alongside Amazon, Apple and Facebook."

And run a keyword search: multi*

In the result set, the HitsByWord result, will it be : "multi*" or "multinational" ?

Based on answer of this we can make out final decision.

Thank you

What is HitsByWord?

String values containing the number of times each word or phrase in a search request was found.

So for above example:

For some search engines: e.g. DTSearch HitsByWord will be "muttinational".
but for Solar it will be "multi*"

I don't understand. May be provide a full recreation script as described in About the Elasticsearch category. It will help to better understand what you are doing. Please, try to keep the example as simple as possible.

A full reproduction script will help readers to understand, reproduce and if needed fix your problem. It will also most likely help to get a faster answer.

Otherwise, may be someone else can answer...
