My customer has three servers and want to separately install elasticsearch in each server. As far as I could understand, the default configuration of elasticsearch would gather these three servers in a single cluster, but that is not what he expects. A different cluster.name to each server may be enough to keep them separately.
That's correct. If you want each server to form its own cluster, give each one a different cluster name.
