How to disconnect runner before deleting it?

I'm trying to delete a runner, but the delete button in the platform is grayed out, and it shows the following message: "Disconnect this runner before deleting it."

I can't find how to disconnect a runner in the ECE documentation either.

Can I just run a delete command to delete it?

Follow https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/cloud-enterprise/current/ece-uninstall.html to wipe the runner, the runner will be deletable after that (sometimes it can take a minute or so)

(if the runner is a director you also need to "demote it" aka remove ZK from the quorum)
