Try closing any other program (including ES instance) using the same port
before running it, otherwise i think elasticsearch will try the next
available port 9201 9202 etc ..

I am new to linux and ELK.

I hope to get some help but cannot find too much information about it.

I follow this link to set it up but not 100% working. it stuck at couldn't connect to host

when using curl -XGET 'localhost:9200'
