How to group by multiple fields in kibana

Hello,

We are new to Kibana, trying to achieve sum(max(column) group by field1(date),field2(string).
We tried doing sum bucket, but we were able to only pick one of the fields.

Please help us if there is any way to do above aggregation

A few ideas...

  • In lens tables you can do multiple row groupings (screenshot below [1])
  • In various aggregation based visualizations you can add "Split rows" (tables) or "Split series" to achieve the multiple group by effect.

[2] aggregation based example (table)

does this help? where exactly were you trying to do this?
