How to hide or scrub data logs in Elasticsearch?

Is there an approach for scrubbing data logs - if a user requested to delete his/her information from security logs? Data should not be deleted it just need to be hide after that the filtered data logs will be shown in Kibana.

Thank you.

At the risk of being off topic, that's a bit of a breach of trust isn't it?

Hello warkolm,

Not really. It's for GDPR requirement - Data masking.

If it's GDPR, I am pretty sure you can't have someone ask to delete and then just hide it from them.

Data logs shouldn't be deleted. It's just need to be hidden or we could say not be able to identify the actual user of these logs as per GDPR requirement.

Ok, well you can do this with Security -
