Is it possible to move index data through file transfer?
I need to move a few indices to a new server but the current and new server networks don't have connectivity to each other. How can I save the index in a manner that it can be downloaded on the other end and imported into the cluster?
If you want to move things between clusters, which is what you seem to be asking, then check out snapshot and restore.
