How to retrieve elk data from server - physical location

Can you please help me to find the way to get the elastic search data from the server physical location.
Basically i'm looking for a physical file of document where the data is getting stored.
I have lost some document files from elk server which holds the data, i have the backup of the document file which will solve my issue by restoring from backup.

Help me to get the physical location of document file.

There isn't a way to retrieve data directly from any files on disk, and filesystem backups do not work.
