May I know the details regarding snap shotting and restoration process in production.My question how frequently we need to take backup so that my application should be safe.

Safe from what?
There is no definitive answer to your question. If your indexes aren't updated more than once a day you obviously don't have to create snapshots more than once a day. If the data is only used as a secondary index for a primary data source rather than being the primary data source itself maybe you don't need any backups at all, or you can run backups with a reduced frequency and/or scope.
