How to uninstall old metric beat version in linux

I was using metric beat 5, and want to upgrade to metric beat 6, so how to uninstall the old version

os: linux

It really depends on how did you install metricbeat in the first place. Did you use your distribution package manager? Which distribution is it by the way?

metricbeat-5.5.2-x86_64.rpm is the package

You can upgrade directly without uninstalling the package:

rpm --upgrade filebeat-6.2.4-x86_64.rpm
