But when I do ./bin/elasticsearch it says it can't find the bundled jdk. Why do I have to set JAVA_HOME for Elasticsearch to use it's bundled Java? And if I have to set JAVA_HOME, what exactly do I need to do ? What file do I edit and what syntax do I use ?

I downloaded and installed elasticsearch
