I have a huge data from a database mainly focus on bank account related information. And I want to analysis them with elasticsearch or CDH, would you please tell me about which one is better?

What is CDH?

BTW whatever the answer is, asking this question on #elasticsearch forums will lead you to some biaised answers IMO. :slight_smile:

I know and I like elasticsearch. CDH is a hadoop platform. I have a bunch of files exported from database containing a lot of numbers like money amount,199.00.I read the documents of elasticsearch and find that es do not support big decimal numbers.

In my scenario,I want to analysis these files as log files, and I'd like to known whether elasticsearch can be the right choice or how to apply elasticsearch to my scenario?
