Will there be any negative impact if I disallow shards rebalancing? I want to disable rebalancing because my cluster is going into yellow state too frequently as some shards become unassigned.
Rebalancing is important for keeping your cluster balanced, and does not cause the health to become yellow.
You're better off trying to resolve the cause of the yellow states.
