Importing CoreSetup, CoreStart, etc

We have to import CoreSetup, CoreStart,.... from @kbn/core/server or ../../src/core/public

I found importing libraries in the above 2 ways in different documents.

Which one should I use?

I am creating a plugin external to kibana.... which can be installed to kibana as and when required.
