Indices_boosting on aliases

Is it possible to use indices_boosting parameter to boost specific aliases ?

From what I read here (https://github.com/elastic/elasticsearch/issues/4756) this seems to be an open issue for aliases.

I saw that but I was wondering why nothing came up in almost 2 years.

If there's a workaround for instance or someone facing the same issue to discuss it, it could be nice.
