Integration of a dashboard to custom application

Hi,

I want to integrate a dashboard or a visual to a custom application. The data source is of any database. If the data in the database got updated like any new data is added or deleted the visual in the application must also refresh automatically.
Is there any possibility to achieve this. If YES please suggest the steps.
