Hi,

I have an Elasticsearch cluster that needs to ingest 2000 EPS.

What is the minimum amount of IOPS do I need on a virtual machine ?

It will depend on a number of factors, e.g. size of the documents, retention period, query volume and patterns, latency requirements etc. The best way to find out is therefore to test.

Hi, thank you for your answer.

I have an elastic cluster containing 3 master Nodes. 1 Hot data, 2 warm data Node and 3 cold data node.

I have 2000 EPS and size per day is around 50 Go per day.

Retention period is 1 week for hot node and 3 weeks for warm node.

Do you think that 300 IOPS is Okay ?
