Once you configure a region map properly, you'll see it on the map, but unfortunately, you are only able to see 5 different colors on the map, and if the data range from very big to very small, then the map doesn't look pretty. I am wondering if it is possible to change the default 5 data range to more fine-grained like 10 or 20?
The red rectangle is what I want to customize.
This is not currently possible with the existing region map visualization.
We are working on a new Maps visualization that will provide the ability to customize layer styling. You can try out a beta version in Kibana 7.0.0 preview release
The Maps visualization does not yet support customizing the ranges/colors for the color ramps but this is a feature we intend to implement. You can follow this existing issue https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/5058 to track the status
