Is it possible to recover the data if we delete the segment file for the index?

If the segment files were deleted for the index, is it possible to recover the index's data?

That is where the data is stored so unless you have another working replica shard or a snapshot the I believe the answer is no.

Why would you delete the segment file to start with?
