Is there a way to save Index Templates?

Hello,

Is there a way to save index templates , in the UI (under "actions") i don't see an option that lets one save an index template .

I have a few log types that would probably require a few index templates and predefined settings and was wondering if there was a way to save them incase of a machine crash or other problems ? Mine is a single node setup.

Try looking at the GET _template API endpoint to get the raw json.
