Is there any way to configure HTTPS in ES cluster without using x-pack ? I'm using 5.4 version. I know it is doable freely in 6.8+ but any lead with 5.4 version ?
If you just want HTTPS then you can put a reverse proxy in front of Elasticsearch and use that for the TLS termination, and maybe some simple auth too. But really 5.4 is very old, it went EOL over two years ago and has known bugs that have since been fixed. You should upgrade as a matter of urgency.
