Java 7 support drop dates

Hi,
apm-agent-java is still supporting Java 7.

Can I know if there is a plan in the future to drop the support and make the lowest supported version to be Java 8?

For now the date at which we will drop support for Java 7 is not known yet.

Can you clarify a bit the context in which you are interested in this ?

  • do you have a Java7 application for which support is needed in the future
  • do you worry about choosing the Java7 artifact and having to migrate to the Java 8 one later ?

If you are on a Java 8+ application, you can use any of those.
