After upgrading our ElasticCloud instance from 7.1.1 to 7.2, launching Kibana still launches 7.1.1 of Kibana. ElasticCloud does show that the instance is a 7.2 instance, but Kibana, after being launched, continues to show as version 7.1.1. The browser history was cleared as well as the cache, with the same result.
This seems like a cloud upgrade issue, so you should open a support case with the cloud team. There should be a link in your cloud account. This way you can get faster support. Also, after upgrading Elasticseeach there should be an option to upgrade Kibana as well. Can you double check to see if that was enabled?
