I had recently installed Kibana 5.2 and I have multiple ES indexes ; I created 2 separate user and each of them can access only one index and I log in the same time whith both of them and see different data for each as I configured it, which explains the multi-tenancy of Kibana - But I still see in all forums that kibana is not multi-tenant .. Who have any explanation for this ? is it just a new feature in Kibana 5.2 or ?
I'm going to link to an old discuss ticket which I think answers your question:
Specifically this answer from @tbragin :
Even though this is a pretty old discuss ticket, it's still a good representation of where we are today.
Search Guard just announced support for Kibana multitenancy: https://groups.google.com/d/msg/search-guard/XuJkRCaHUIQ/wRpIK80OBAAJ
Sound intereseting but not yet tried myself
