Kibana server is not ready yet - All collectors are not ready. Waiting for 60000ms longer

I succesfuly upgraded my 3*nodes Elasticsearch cluster from 6.5.4 to 6.8.13
Then, I upgraded my Kibana server along the same path.

Then no way to get kibana portal ... always displaying "Kibana server is not ready yet"

I switched kibana log to verbose mode and noticed neither errors nor warnings

Only these cycling entries in kibana log file look strange:

{"type":"log","@timestamp":"2021-01-12T15:53:57Z","tags":["debug","stats-collection"],"pid":26737,"message":"All collectors are not ready. Waiting for 60000ms longer."}

{"type":"log","@timestamp":"2021-01-12T15:53:57Z","tags":["debug","monitoring-ui","kibana-monitoring"],"pid":26737,"message":"Resetting lastFetchWithUsage because not all collectors are ready"}

No idea about which collectors the log file is talking about ?

Thanks for your support.
Best Regards

When Kibana starts up, do any of the plugins log that they are waiting for something? Based on the activity in the logs, do all the plugins have a green state?

Many thanks @tsullivan for your reply.
Meanwhile I installed an extra kibana server in 6.8.13 from scratch and I do face the same issue.

About plugin, I noticed contradictory informations in the hereunder logs : "some plugins with status moving to green" and "Discovered 0 plugins"

May I face deprecated kibana configuration options since I am running Kibana 6.8.13 with kibana.yml config file inherited from Kibana 6.5.4 environment ?

Same issue with a 6.8.13 based kibana.yml config file :thinking:

Just reinstalled a Kibana server in 6.5.4 : Kibana home page displayed in a couple of seconds. All features available.

The question is : what's wrong with Kibana 6.8.13 ? :rage:

I compared logs from kibana 6.5.4 and kibana 6.8.13 ... kibana 6.8.13 logs have lines regarding reindex operations !!!???

If you are using unrecognized configuration options from Kibana 6.5 in a later minor version (6.8), Kibana will just log a warning and tell you that the option isn't used and will go away in the next major version (7.x in your case). That's the normal process for config deprecations.

There have been bugs where developers have removed config settings without deprecating them first. In the case of such a bug, Kibana would exit automatically after trying to start, and log the config option that isn't recognized.

The reindex worker finds saved objects in your .kibana index that need to be upgraded to continue to work properly as saved visualizations, saved searches, dashboards, Advanced Settings, etc.

@ORich Would it be possible to get your elasticsearch.yml and kibana.yml (with any sensitive info redacted)?

Also, what is your setup like? Are you using metricbeat? Monitoring a remote cluster?

Dear @tsullivan and @Igor_Zaytsev, thanks for your support.

My setup in a nutshell : 1*node Kibana + 3 *nodes elasticsearch + many Filebeat. All running in CentOS 7.9 No Metricbeat, no remote cluster monitoring

I first successfuly upgraded my ELasticsearch cluster from 6.5.4 to 6.8.13 as a step to move to 7.10.1. Then, stuck with kibana upgrade to 6.8.13 for a couple of days.

Please find my kibana config file running in 6.8.13:
