Kibana settings page causes CPU to spike on elasticsearch daemon

Hey all. Seems I'm running into an issue no one has seen before or my search skills are failing.

Every time I click on the Settings tab in Kibana the elasticsearch daemon shoots up to 100% CPU and stays there. All queries fail after that point and the only solution is to restart the elasticsearch daemon.

I'm not really certain of the best place to start. The current indices are all logstash logs. There are about 70 days worth and they are each about 90M.

Thanks for any helpful tips on things to look at!

Well, in troubleshooting I knocked it down to 30 indexes and I was able to access the index settings page again. No idea if it was quantity or content at this point.
