Kibana Shows Black Screen After Login Need Help

Hi Everyone,
I recently upgraded my Elastic Stack version X.X and now when I try to access Kibana, all I see is a black screen after logging in.

The browser loads the Kibana interface, but no content appears. Elasticsearch is running fine, and my cluster status is green.

I have tried clearing the browser cache, restarting Kibana and Elasticsearch, but I don’t see any critical errors. The issue persists across multiple browsers and even in incognito mode.

Has anyone encountered this issue before? Could it be related to permissions, a misconfiguration in Kibana settings, or an issue with OpenSearch dashboards? Any troubleshooting steps or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello @xirawa, that doesn't sound like a nice experience. I've never seen anything like that so far. Could you please check e.g. in DevTool's console and/or network for some issues reported? In Chrome you can enable DT using F12 key. Perhaps you could share what you see there?

What version of kibana, you put "X.X" in your post?

You mentioned opensearch dashboards, are you using opensearch?

Hi,

  1. Is this for all users or specific user?
  2. Is it only for your machine or same issue is observed on all machines?
  3. Try using F12 on the browser while login to see where it is throwing the error or what is the cause.
    Above steps should help to narrow down the issue. Also as requested since it is post upgrade please share from which version to which version the stack was upgraded as requested earlier which can help to review this issue further.
