Kibana - Visualize - Controls Option List - Date Sorting

Hi,

We are using Elastic 6.6 and Kibana 6.6. We indexed files into ES using bulk upload, and the data has a date field. We defined the mapping as date and also as keyword for the date field.

When we try to visualize using Controls and Options list in Kibana, we are not able to sort the date field in descending. We tried both the date type as well as keyword.

Please let us know how we can achieve this.
