Kibana won't start: “node” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software

I downloaded Kibana and tried to start it on Mac OSX 10.13.3 (Catalina) but I get the following error and the application is killed:

It seems like more of a mac issue but I was hoping someone here might be able to help.

For now, until the Apple notarization program is dealt with, you need to add an exception in the System Preferences for it in order to start it.

Thanks. I found the path to be: system preferences > security and privacy > developer tools. Edit to allow terminal to run software that doesn't meet the system security preferrences.
